Male Arrested After Inflicting Horrific Burns to Woman's Head, Arms and Body

On August 4th at approximately 1:43 am, the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to a call in the area of 7th and Niagara Street. When officers arrived, they encountered a 48-year-old female victim that was treated on the scene by Niagara Falls Fire Department for burns to her head, arms and body.

The victim was eventually transported to ECMC by Tri-Community Ambulance where she is listed as critical with 3rd degree burns.

On August 5th Barinder Singh, 38 of Niagara Falls was brought to the Police Station, interviewed and charged with 1st degree assault. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
