Man Accused of Killing Victim Returns to Steal PlayStation in Buffalo

A Town of Tonawanda man is facing the possibility of spending decades behind bars after prosecutors say he not only took part in a fatal shooting but later returned to the scene to steal items belonging to the victim.

Jamere Davis, 21, was arraigned in State Supreme Court on two counts of second-degree murder, along with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and tampering with physical evidence.

The case stems from an incident on September 30th, 2025, inside a home on Thompson Street in Buffalo.

Authorities allege Davis shot and killed 47-year-old Samuel Wishonant whose body was later discovered in the living room.

According to investigators, Davis went back to the property afterward and removed personal belongings belonging to the victim including a PlayStation and DVR, both of which were later recovered by police in a nearby field along Thompson Street.

If convicted, Davis could face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. He is currently being held without bail.
