Male Caught with His Pants Down Changing Into Stolen Clothes

Niagara Falls Police responded to the Family Dollar on Portage Road around 9am on August 18th for a larceny in progress.
While en route, dispatch advised officers that Cory Cox had stolen clothing from Family Dollar and was last seen heading south from the store.
Officers located Cox on the 900 block of Cedar Avenue attempting to change his clothes on the east side of the building. Once dressed, Cox was placed in handcuffs and transported back to Family Dollar for a show up.
Officers spoke to the store manager who was both the witness and reporting party. She identified Cox as the thief.
Cox was taken into custody. Officers noted in the official incident report that Cox had already been trespassed from Family Dollar on February 14th, 2024.
The total value of recovered stolen property was $10.40. The stolen clothes were returned to the store.
Cox was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was held for arraignment.
