Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2200 block of Hyde Park Boulevard around 7:00pm on July 3rd after reports of a man dancing in the gas station parking lot and refusing to leave.
Upon arrival, police observed the male walking away from the store. The owner of the store came outside and pointed at the male to confirm that was the male he no longer wanted back at the store. Officers advised the male that he was no longer allowed back on the premises, and that if he returned the owner would pursue criminal charges.
The male started walking away from the gas station, but after traveling a short distance turned around and started walking back. It is unknown if the male has any learning disabilities or mental health issues preventing him from understanding directives and the world around him.
The owner told police that the male had been coming into the store on numerous occasions over the past two weeks acting irate with customers and staff. He will also throw items from the shelves onto the floor when asked to leave. The owner wanted to press charges and have him formally trespassed from the store.
The male then walked into the middle of Hyde Park Boulevard causing many vehicles to either stop or swerve to avoid hitting him. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. Referring to the female officer who was transporting him, the male told her that he will "call his family to come after me and shoot me” dead.
