Man Runs After Vehicles with Hatchet in Niagara County Before Targeting a Woman

Law enforcement received a call around 11am on December 4th after reports of menacing with a weapon in Lockport, NY.

The 911 caller said that a male was on the side of the road running after vehicles with a hatchet. Bystanders reported that he was pretending to chop up the cars as he ran. The male was described as white, wearing blue jeans and a white hat.

It was then reported that the male focussed his attention on a woman and started chasing her. She called police in a panic.

Police responded to the scene. It is unknown if the male was apprehended and arrested.
