Niagara Falls Man Strangles Woman Who Refused to Share Beer with Him

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2400 bloc of Niagara Avenue around 5pm on March 2nd after reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that her friend Hubert Pringle began arguing with her about wanting some beer, which she refused to give him. She stated Pringle then became irate and struck her on the top of the head with a closed fist.

This caused her to become “alarmed.”

The victim then stated Pringle pushed her onto the bed and wrapped both hands around her neck and applied pressure causing her to not be able to breathe.

She did not lose consciousness during the attack.

The victim texted her friend who called 911. She refused medical treatment.

The victim told police she wished to press charges and wanted an order of protection. Pringle was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment 2nd.

No further information is available at this time.
