Niagara Falls Nightly Fireworks Return Tonight

The dazzling summer tradition of nightly fireworks over Niagara Falls is back starting tonight! Launching at 10pm, the Niagara Falls Summer Fireworks Series will light up the sky every evening through October 13th.

Each show runs approximately five minutes with extended performances scheduled for key holidays such as Canada Day on July 1st, Independence Day on July 4th, and New Year’s Eve on December 31st, each offering a nine-minute spectacle.

This fireworks series, a hallmark of the region’s tourism calendar, is presented by Niagara Falls Tourism in collaboration with the Niagara Falls Canada Hotel Association and the Niagara Parks Commission. The fireworks are choreographed to enhance the nightly illumination of the falls, blending natural beauty with color for an unforgettable viewing experience.

The illumination of Niagara Falls itself is a long-standing tradition dating back to 1925. Utilizing high-powered LED lighting systems strategically placed around the falls, a mesmerizing palette of colors transform the roaring waters into a moving canvas after sunset. The lights change frequently, creating a continuously evolving visual display.

The falls are lit every night of the year with extended hours in summer months and shorter sessions during the winter. While viewing both the fireworks and the illumination are free from various public vantage points, there are also premium experiences available.

Options include night-time cruises that bring spectators close to the illuminated falls or riverside dining with front-row views of the show.
