Niagara Falls Police responded to the 3600 block of Walnut Avenue around 5:20pm on August 9th after reports of a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that she left the house this morning at approx. 9am and when she returned home at 2:30pm, she noticed her snowblower was missing. She further said that her snowblower was kept in a back mudroom that is connected to the house.
The complainant stated that she never locks the outside door to the mudroom because the door from that room that attaches to the house is always locked.
There was no damage and nothing of evidentiary value was observed. Multiple family members have been grabbing the door handle all day. There are no security cameras inside or outside of the building and neither of the immediate neighbors have cameras.
The complainant is unsure of the brand name of the snowblower but claims it is red and purchased at Walmart, valued around $400.
No further information is available at this time.
