Orleans County Woman Tragically Killed in Crash

A devastating crash in the Town of Ridgeway on Thursday afternoon claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman from Orleans County. Sandra Gapa, a resident of Lyndonville, was tragically killed when her Subaru was struck by a westbound vehicle at the intersection of Knowlesville and Ridge Road.

According to the New York State Police, the collision occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Gapa had been traveling north on Knowlesville Road when she came to a stop at the intersection. Tragically, as she entered the intersection, her vehicle was struck by the oncoming westbound vehicle.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but despite their efforts Gapa was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
