Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours has officially launched its 2025 season, marking a significant milestone as the company prepares to move into its brand-new, state-of-the-art headquarters later this spring.
For now, the scenic helicopter flights are departing from Rainbow Air’s temporary base at the Niagara Falls International Airport, located at 9990 Porter Road, where flights will run Fridays through Sundays from 9am to 5pm in April and May.
The company is currently finalizing work on its upcoming $15 million Rainbow Air Tourism Center, located on Acheson Road just off Buffalo Avenue, just minutes from Niagara Falls State Park. The new headquarters is expected to open by late May and will mark a major leap forward for the well-known tour company.
“We’re all thrilled to get the season started and take another step toward our exciting future,” said Patrick Keyes, Rainbow Air’s Sales and Marketing Manager. “For 30 years, our goal has been to give people a once-in-a-lifetime view of the Falls — including flying through Canadian airspace — and we’re excited to offer even more from our new home.”
Rainbow Air began operations three decades ago with a mission to offer aerial tours of Niagara Falls from a thrilling and unique perspective. Since then, it has become a staple of the Niagara tourism experience offering panoramic flights over one of North America's most iconic natural wonders.
With the completion of its new facility, Rainbow Air will soon shift from seasonal operations to year-round service, enhancing its availability to both tourists and locals.
The upcoming Rainbow Air Tourism Center will feature an expanded helicopter fleet, new guest amenities, and an immersive Virtual Reality experience that brings the sights and sounds of the Falls to life in a whole new way.
To help bridge the transition to the new location, Rainbow Air has brought back its complimentary round-trip shuttle service from downtown Niagara Falls hotels to its temporary airport site. Once the new center opens, shuttle service will continue to make visits convenient and seamless.
The company also continues to offer its popular “716 Discount” for local residents, encouraging members of the Western New York community to enjoy the experience at a reduced rate.
