Suspect Beats Victim with 2x4 in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue around 9:30am on April 15th after reports of an unknown disturbance involving both men and women fighting near the residence.

Upon arrival, David Pryor and another individual were all in front of the residence arguing. Officers were on scene to assist and did detail both Pryor and the other individual. Both men were claiming they had injuries. The second unnamed individual repeatedly stated that Pryor struck her son multiple times with a 2x4 and three unknown white females attacked her and fled the scene before police arrived.

Niagara Falls Fire arrived on scene and began to evaluate Pryor’s injuries. AMR also arrived on scene and attempted to evaluate the unnamed individual’s injuries, who was extremely uncooperative. AMR then redirected their attention to Pryor.

A second ambulance then arrived and attempted to evaluate the unnamed individual again who was still uncooperative, although he did begin to speak with paramedics. Both AMR units transported their person to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

After further investigation, it was learned that the physical altercation began when Pryor could not location his gun that was inside the residence. Pryor accused both the unnamed individual and his mom of taking it. Pryor then called three females to the residence. Upon their arrival, the fight began in the interior steps leading to the front porch. The females began to strike the female.

When her same came to her defense, Pryor grabbed a 2x4 and began to strike the unnamed individual with it approx. ten times. He then reached for the closest item he could find which was a small “table-look ash tray thing” and swung it at Pryor. The unnamed individual said he did see Pryor’s gun a few days ago but believed his mom may have taken the gun.

Pryor was charged with aggravated assault. The gun was not located at that time. No further information is available.
