Tracie Schafer to Take Helm at Aquarium of Niagara as Interim CEO

The Niagara Aquarium Foundation has announced that Tracie Schafer will take on the role of interim president and CEO, effective from Feb. 1. Schafer will replace outgoing leader Gary Siddall, who is stepping down at the end of January.

Currently serving as the aquarium's VP of Finance and Administration, Schafer has steadily advanced her role since joining in 2017. The foundation is optimistic about her ability to guide the team through this period of transition.

Meanwhile, Siddall has been appointed as the president and CEO of the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences and will take up the position on Feb. 5. Siddall has been associated with the aquarium for two decades, starting as a volunteer and working his way up to CEO.
