Victim Sleeps While Suspect Smashes Glass Door During Home Invasion in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of Walnut Avenue around 1:30pm on September 24th after reports of a home invasion.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that he arrived home around 12:30am on September 24th and immediately went to sleep. He then awoke at 5:30am to discover that two glass pane windows on his front door were smashed. Each valued at $100.
The door to the apartment was also left wide open. Upon examining the apartment, he discovered that his GTE cell phone was missing, valued at $300, along with his HP X360 14” Chromebook, valued at $205.
The complainant told police that he does not have cameras and officers checked neighboring houses with negative results. Officers provided him with a blotter number.
