Woman Assaulted During Home Invasion, Suspect Arrested

City of Tonawanda police say a man is in custody after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and attacking her early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at a residence in the 600 block of Fletcher Street, according to Police Chief Robert Clontz. While few details have been released, Clontz confirmed that charges against the suspect are pending.

Following the arrest, the department issued a public reminder on safety precautions and urged residents to remain aware of their surroundings, avoid poorly lit or isolated areas, and contact police immediately if they feel unsafe.
