AutoZone Shoplifter Tells Employee 'You need to die' Before Fleeing

Niagara Falls Police responded to AutoZone on the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard around 12pm on January 12th after reports of a shoplifter.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the manager who stated that a black male came inside the store whom he is familiar with due to several prior thefts. Another employee recognized the male and told him, “not today.” The male suspect left on foot for a short time and then returned.

The suspect was again advised to leave but refused to do so. He became hostile and verbally aggressive to the employee.

"I’m coming for you," he said. "I’m gonna follow you out to your car and beat you up," was another statement. Lastly, he told the employee "you need to die."

The suspect then exited the store and fled the area. Police canvassed the area with negative results.
