The Niagara Gospel Mission, located at 1317 Portage Road, is preparing to distribute over 1,800 meals to individuals in need throughout the City of Niagara Falls through their annual “Feed the Falls!” initiative.
On Wednesday, November 27th and the morning of Thanksgiving Day, volunteers from across Western New York will gather at the Niagara Gospel Mission to assemble Thanksgiving meals.
“I am truly inspired that we at the mission can bless the people of Niagara Falls, particularly our elderly community members. It’s incredibly powerful to see the community unite in support of those in need,” said Volunteer Coordinator Donna Stevens. “The dedication of our volunteers is what enables the Niagara Gospel Mission to continue its impactful work.”
Organizers are inviting community members to contribute by donating items such as turkeys, potatoes, cranberry sauce, or corn. They also encourage participation in their “Pie Party” on November 27th at 7pm, where volunteers will be cutting pies, scooping cranberry sauce, and packaging rolls. Additional help is welcomed on Thanksgiving morning for meal distribution.
Residents of Niagara Falls who require a Thanksgiving meal can call (716) 298-7819 to request one, with the last day to place a call being November 26th.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Niagara Gospel Mission provides essential services to the homeless and those in need. For more information about their current services and plans to expand support for homeless women, visit niagaragospelmission.org.
