Suspect Pushes Walmart Employee Out of Way, Runs from Police Over a $3 Bottle of Soda

Niagara Falls Police responded to Walmart on Military Road around 5pm on July 19th after reports of shoplifting. While already inside the store taking a report for another incident, Walmart employees advised officers of another party stealing store merchandise - a bottle of soda pop.

Officers observed an employee approach a male suspect and ask if he was going to pay for the bottle of soda he was drinking. The male suspect then pushed the employee out of the way and attempted to run out of the store.

Police quickly apprehended the male suspect and he was secured in handcuffs. A representative from Walmart wished to press charges and have him trespassed from Walmart.

The male suspect was transported to police headquarters for processing where he was issued an appearance ticket. No further information is available - Suspect Pushes Walmart Employee Out of Way, Runs from Police Over a $3 Bottle of Soda.
