Unknown Male Strikes Fear into Female Tenant after Midnight

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1400 block of Walnut Avenue around 12:45am on October 24th after reports of criminal mischief.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the female complainant who stated that she was sitting in her home when she heard a loud noise. When she went outside to see what was going on, she observed her first-floor window smashed.

The complainant stated she believes it is one of the neighbors because there have been problems with them recently. She went back inside of the home and viewed security camera footage that showed a black male, dressed in all black, throwing an unknown object at the window causing it to shatter. He then ran away. The total estimated damage to repair said window is approx. $300.

There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
