Yankee Candle Theft from Family Dollar Leaves Police in the Dark

Niagara Falls Police responded to Family Dollar on Hyde Park Boulevard around 9pm on July 13th after reports of a Yankee Candle theft.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the female manager who stated that around 8:30pm an unknown black male wearing a shirt wrapped around his head walked into the store. The unknown male then took three Yankee Candles off the shelf and put them in his pants. Due to business protocols, the manager did not attempt to stop the shoplifter.

The unknown male passed all points of purchase without rendering payment. He was last seen walking southbound on Hyde Park Boulevard. Police canvassed the area with negative results. No further information is available.

The store employees don't go after these criminals because, a: they may very well be seriously injured by them and, b: it's store policy because these people are being allowed to get away with this crap by our elected officials. Another good job by NYS politicians
