Niagara Falls Police received a walk-in report at police headquarters around 10:30am on August 23rd about a possible fraudulent transaction on eBay where his money was stolen.

The complainant told police that he purchased post-it notes for $2,594.30 on eBay. The seller accepted payment, but he did not receive the items. The order was placed on August 15th. After a week of not receiving the product he attempted to contact the seller 3 times but had negative results.

Why did the complainant pay over $2,500 for post-it notes? The official police incident report does not say. However, it is a fascinating question.

The complainant contacted eBay and an investigation was opened. He said this report was for record purposes. No further information is available at this time.
