Suspect Steals Meat from Save-A-Lot, Tries to Resell it Immediately in Parking Lot

Niagara Falls Police responded to Save-A-Lot on Pine Avenue around 5pm on August 26th after reports of a larceny in progress.

Prior to officers’ arrival, NFPD dispatch advised that the suspect was a white male walking through the parking lot wearing a black shirt with write writing and had long hair. Dispatch also advised that the male had allegedly stolen lunch meat.

Officers entered the parking lot and observed a male matching the description attempting to sell two packages of lunch meat to a random male. The male was detained and transported back to Save-A-Lot for positive identification.

A store employee stated that the male entered the store and took multiple packs of lunch meat valued at $9.98 and walked out of the store without rendering payment. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and released with an appearance ticket.

The meat was returned to Save-A-Lot. No further information is available at this time.
